Being responsible and self motivated are two key attributes of a great employee. In the training room, our interns have an opportunity to sharpen these skills. They are required to clean the training room each Thursday and if they remember to do it WITHOUT being asked they can put their name in the “Pitch In Pitcher.”

After four names are entered the interns can pick two items from our Desk Swag Shop. The shop has snacks as well as some cool (in my opinion) 3D prints made at the Augusta County Library. The interns responses have been a mixed bag. Some are very motivated by these incentives and some are not. However the fact remains: a successful employee will be internally motivated and show they are responsible by doing the tasks they agreed to do.
